In reply to <a href="https://ahnahendrix.com/im-bacckkkk/#comment-131">Renée A. Schuls-Jacobson</a>.

Hello Renee!! Thank you so much for reading my blog again, and for taking the time to respond! And I really appreciate the compliments on my writing.

I think the strongest aspect of my writing has always been my voice, and even in my published (and somewhat more technical) articles I do my best not to lose it. I love the story about the homeless boy and would like to find a home for it - being in school, interning and working make it difficult for me to find the time to annoy possible homes for my writing, but your encouragement may just kick me out the door.

And I will definitely check out Kristen Lamb.

Thanks again - people such as yourself underestimate the value of your thoughts :)

Hi Ahna! I was scrolling through some old blogs and decided to check back on some people who commented when I was Freshly Pressed for the first time. And here I am. And here you are.

I think you have such a distinct writing voice, I would hate to see you get all technical and limit yourself with regard to what you are writing, content-wise. I love your piece about the homeless boy you sat next to on the shelter. Geez, that feels publishable to me. So I guess I'd say, you might want to check out Kristen Lamb's blog (or if you are on Twitter, check out @KristenLambTX. She has a lot to say about this topic of topic choice.

I'm glad you are back! ;-)
