I absolutely chose the last two to be in Spanish because they represented my Hispanic side ~ something I am deeply proud of (half-Puerto Rican and half German…and I don’t always look the part either;) and eager to express in any way that I can. Besides, I have a deeply rooted love of Spanish ~ the language that expresses me better than I am able.

It’s awesome that you are so proud of your heritage and from the sound of it, it would appear that you have done tattoos rightly 😉

I will most definitely add more as I go. For now I’m happy with what I have, but I’m easily inspired and will no doubt find more excuses to cover myself in ink, haha. But tastefully, though.

I have 3 myself, all of which are covered by clothes. I’m half Japanese and don’t really look it, so I thought I’d incorporate my heritage onto my body, literally. I have a Japanese flag over my heart with a samurai sword behind it. I have ‘honor’ written in Katakana on my right shoulder. And I have ‘live in the moment’ written vertically up my left side in Kanji. I absolutely love all of them and want more- and anymore I get will be something Japanese, be it a symbol, design, or writing.

I absolutely encourage tattoos and think everyone should get one! But as you stated, make sure it’s something you can live with for the rest of your life.

You are lucky to be surrounded by beautiful possibilities that could be attached to you for life ~ choosing would probably be the hardest part:) My step-mother is also an artist and my father is contemplating the same. I can only imagine what an honor that would be for both of your wives!
