Thanks, Dave! There's always plenty to distract us from moving ahead, and I prefer to view negative situations as potentially fantastic ones - especially in business. There's always haters, but sometimes they have legitimate feedback - separating the two is key. But facing those remarks/people and turning them into positive experiences should always be the goal.

Ahna, I love the way you give permission to be okay with negative feedback but also instruction how to follow up with it.

I think there is something to be said about not focusing on the one or two one star reviews in light of dozens of four and five star reviews. It's easy for us to focus on the one person yelling, "you suck," right after a stadium of amazing fans applaud you. There is a point where you have to dismiss your critics.

I was listening to Tyler Perry talk about his critics and he referenced scripture saying, "that verse, You prepare a table for me in the midst of my enemies... Alright then, watch me eat." I like that perspective.

Great Post Ahna!

I know its a quote, but "Centuries" ago when in corporate America I remember my Floor Manager at a brokerage house taking me in his office and saying:

Mike, no matter how thin you slice something there's always 2 sides. You'll always come across people who who won't agree or feel they've been serviced enough. It's my job to let them lead like "Ballroom Dancer" and follow their step. Don't resist, listen, follow, acknowledge and make right.

Wise words I do my best to live by.

Cheers!
