Welcome back to another Soul Driven interview! This week, I’m excited to introduce you to Bloom Post, a Ceremonialist, Shamanic Healer, Teacher, and Author who lives in the Appalachian Mountains of WNC. Bloom walks between the worlds to receive information, insights and guidance, in order to empower healing and transformation. She is author of the book “Shaman’s Toolbox: Practical Tools for Powerful Transformation” and “Plant Spirit Totems”. Bloom has studied in the U.S., Peru, India, and Guatemala, and some of her teachers have included an Appalachian Shaman, a Native American Lakota elder, Buddhist monks and nuns, as well as Hindu Swamis and a Cacao Shaman. A Reiki Master Teacher, she also received her Yoga Teacher Training Certificate in India in 2005. She’s been intentionally training on her path since 1999 and leading ceremonies since 2006.

- “If we don’t remember who we are, then we fall back on the habits and we fall back on the programs that are passed down, learned, inherited, DNA–what have you. And we end up letting the things around us determine our focus and our journey.” – Bloom Post
- “Up until 29, it felt like my abilities were a curse. After working with a shaman–starting to learn from him and train from him–I realized that all I wanted to do was heal.” – Bloom Post
- “Teachers are teaching what they need to learn. Healers are helping others with what that personal healer has needed to heal.” – Bloom Post
- “The Shaman’s path is different from other paths. And that it is a path of initiation. It is a path of death and rebirth.” – Bloom Post
- “Many people with trauma do end up wanting to be of service to others.” – Bloom Post
- “I learned from my guides that if I’m in a protective stance, I’m creating defense. And if I’m creating defense, I’m creating resistance. And whatever I resist, persist.” – Bloom Post
- “You definitely have to do your own work before you can be of service to others, for sure. I tell people all the time, ‘Stop jumping out of the boat to try to get other people in. You got to stay in the boat.’” – Bloom Post
- “Creating relationships with plants is just so important for me and my journey. Cacao can be very supportive to people in the ceremonial space to open the heart with more grace and ease, and without being psychotropic.” – Bloom Post
